NCA College Nationals 2015 Results

We were on location at NCA College Nationals in Daytona Beach this weekend, where the best college cheer and dance teams from across the country gathered in the famous beachside Daytona Bandshell to face off for a 2015 national title. In the Large Coed D1A division, Oklahoma State University once again beat out rivals Louisville 0.1 and Texas Tech by 0.05 after hitting their routine in finals on Friday.

The University of Louisville did not come away from Nationals empty-handed, however. Their Small Coed team dominated the Small Coed 1A division, beating out University of Texas San Antonio by well over a point, and their All-Girl team team beat out Oklahoma State University by 0.72.

Sam Houston State University, who took third in last year’s DI division, took home first this year, beating out the University of Central Arkansas by more than a point and a half. University of Texas at Arlington won in Small Coed DI by a whopping 2.45 points. Towson took home the trophy in the All Girl DI division, after a third place finish in last year’s competition.

In All Girl DII, California Baptist University added another trophy to their collection, with University of Central Oklahoma coming in behind them by over 2 points after CBU hit their routine perfectly during finals.

Perhaps one of the most talked-about teams of the season, Navarro College’s cheer team walked away with the title of Grand Champion and Junior College National Champions at NCA this year. With tons of difficulty in their stunts and pyramids, not to mention their precisely synchronized elite tumbling passes, they received the highest score of the entire competition with a 98.60.
