NHSCC 2015 Recap & Results

Over 15,000 of the nation’s best high school cheerleaders competed this weekend at the National High School Cheerleading Championships in Orlando, FL. With record breaking attendance at the event, the competition between teams was tougher than ever. One notable win came from Greenup County High School, who took the gold in the Medium Coed DII division, marking their 15th national win. Amongst the teams to win their first national title was local Orlando team Winter Park High School in the Medium Varsity DI division. In the prestigious Large Varsity Coed division, Dyer County High School brought home their third consecutive national title, and also scored the number one spot in the World School Large Coed Championships.

Perhaps the most-watched division this year was the Small Varsity DII division, after having their 2013 season chronicled in the “American Cheerleader” movie that premiered late last year. Southwestern High School and Burlington Township High School have battled each other for the top spot for the past several years, but this year the white jackets went to Southwestern. More results from the NHSCC can be found below. We will have photo galleries of the Varsity Coed divisions, as well as Varsity All Girl finals, uploaded to the members-only section of our website in the near future so keep checking back.
