UCA International All Star Championship Recap & Results

We spent this weekend covering the UCA International All Star Championship, which is also the final leg of the Varsity Triple Crown. The event was filled with some amazing teams, and fierce competition in every division. The Stingray Allstars took home more first place trophies than any other program, winning an impressive 15 divisions, including several in the covered Level 5 Worlds divisions. The reigning world champion Orange Rays beat out World Cup Shooting Stars, Cheer Extreme Senior Elite, and KC Cheer Fearless in the Large Senior 5 division, Peach Rays beat out the world champion Top Gun Lady Jags to win the Medium Senior 5 division, and in what some people saw as the biggest surprise of the competition, Steel Rays beat out the reigning world grand champions Top Gun Large Coed in the Large Senior Coed 5 division. Peach Rays, having won Cheersport, NCA, and UCA, also took home the coveted Varsity Triple Crown title for their division. In the Medium Senior Coed 5, South Elite Diamonds brought their A-game and beat out Top Gun Guardians, Step One, ACE, and Central Mississippi. In the International Open Coed 5 division, last year’s winners Top Gun OO5 once again took home the first place trophy.

But UCA’s grand champion winner came as no surprise to anyone. Brandon All Stars Senior Black has dominated every national competition they’ve been to this season, winning grand champions at Jamfest Super Nationals, Cheersport Nationals, NCA Nationals, and now UCA. Having won those titles, they also walked away with a Varsity Triple Crown banner and backpacks. Brandon’s Small Senior 5 team, Senior White, also took home a first place trophy in their division.

In non-Worlds divisions, many teams showed off their hard work this season by hitting their routines both days, giving the judges a  tough job this weekend. All winning teams went home with the traditional black satin “International Champion” jackets. A full list of final results can be found here. We will also be posting a photo gallery of the action in the members-only section of our website within the next couple weeks. Congratulations to everyone who competed!
